In our modern world our outdoor space has become an extension of our home. This is space that is enjoyed by the entire family and what a better way to enjoy it then with a pool and here are some terrific pool landscaping ideas.

The pool is a great start to your backyard dcor but there is so much more such as decking, lighting, and plants. Let's start with the deck.

There are many different pool deck styles to choose from but a deck that is level with the top of the pool works great and looks great. A deck that goes completely around the pool looks fantastic! It gives ample room for entertaining around the pool, it adds the finishing look to the pool itself and it's easy to decorate.

Once you've got the deck installed it's time to think about patio furniture. Chaise lounge chairs are a must so that you can stretch out, relax, and soak up some rays. There are plenty of different chaise styles

And of course a table and chairs is also needed. Size will depend on your deck size. If you have a limited amount of space then a bistro set is perfect. Lots of room then go big and include an umbrella an escape out of the sun.

Now you need to add some plants. Tropical plants are of course the best choice. Palm trees and ferns look great. Now if you live in a climate where these plants won't be able to survive the winter outside you will have to have a place to store these plants, otherwise consider silk plants....
